The exterior of the refrigerator is decorated with chrome handles and an embossed Swan Logo, while its interior is sleek with glass shelves and a wine rack and a drawer that can be used to store chilled drinks. Inside the door, there are a couple of narrow racks that are ideal for small juice and butter cartons. The refrigerator is equipped with thermoelectric exchange technology instead of compressor cooling. The refrigerator is quieter and emits a small hum.
The refrigerator has a total capacity of 295 litres, with the fridge compartment holding 209 litres and the bottom-mounted freezer supplying 89 litres of storage space. It's not frost-free and requires periodic manual defrosting in order to maintain its peak performance. The drawer for chilled drinks is a nice feature, and there's plenty of room in the crisper drawer for fresh fruits and vegetables.
The fridge scored an A+ for energy efficiency. This is the lowest energy efficiency level we have ever tested, and it is a great result for an appliance of this cost. The 42dB noise rating was a good score. It's a little louder than some of the smaller models we tested, but much quieter than older refrigerators that produced a lot more noise.
Swan has kept its design simple, which is an advantage in terms of ease-of-use. The fridge is equipped with an LED light bulb as well as an adjustable temperature control. The temperature was stable. The top and middle shelves only differed by just a few degrees each side of the mean, whereas the salad drawer stayed at 2oC. We did notice it was quite hot at the back. This could be an issue if you live in a room that is hotter.

Similar to the SR11010 the fridge needs an occasional manual defrost but is rated A+ for energy efficiency. This makes it the most energy-efficient fridge freezer on our Best Buy chart. It will keep your electricity bills at a minimum.
This is a great illustration of how Swan can offer attractive retro designs at affordable costs. The SR11010 looks fantastic and comes in a wide spectrum of colors, ranging from the soft pastel blue we tested to more dramatic red, pink and orange. It has the added bonus of not having frost and being quiet too. It's an all-rounder however, you need to compare this appliance with other refrigerator freezers on our Best Buy list to ensure that you purchase the right appliance.
